The partnership between the EUI and UIBE contributes to enhancing the solid relationship that the EUI has established with academia in China for many years now, providing the EUI community access to one of the top universities in the country.
The two universities will collaborate in the fields of higher education and research, with a focus on international trade and economics. To this end, the EUI together with UIBE aims to develop a series of educational activities, benefitting faculty, students, researchers and staff in both institutions.
Under the agreement, the EUI and UIBE will promote joint workshops, research projects, executive education trainings and summer schools. In addition, the two parties plan to develop exchange programmes for researchers and post-doc learners from both institutions, as well as establish an international mobility programme for Master’s students. The partnership will further allow EUI PhD researchers to explore teaching opportunities at the UIBE in subjects related to their field of study.
Founded in 1951, UIBE is a national university with expertise in the areas of economics, management science, science of law, and literature. UIBE sustains its educational commitment to cultivate high-end innovative talents with an international vision, a good knowledge of international rules, and leadership in global economic and trade activities. Comprised of 18 academic schools, 10 research institutes, one graduate school, and one department of physical education, the university offers over 46 undergraduate programs, 62 graduate programs and 25 doctoral programs.
