Biography

Anna Śledzińska-Simon is a Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Wrocław. She holds an SJD in Comparative Constitutional Law from Central European University. Her research focuses on comparative constitutional law, gender constitutionalism, equality law, and socio-legal approaches. She is a partner in the Feminist Judgments Project (EUI) and the Cultural and Religious Diversity in Europe project (MPI Halle). She is a visiting fellow at the Law Department, where she conducts research on framings of the right to abortion in the context of constitutional change, supported by the NAWA Bekker Academic Exchange Program.
Her recent publications include Women, Gender, and Constitutionalism in Central and Eastern Europe: Introduction to the Symposium (with Barbara Havelková and Mathias Möschel), International Journal of Constitutional Law, vol. 23, no. 2 (2025); Abortion and Abuses of Constitutional Review in the Trajectory of Polish Constitutionalism, International Journal of Constitutional Law, vol. 23, no. 2 (2025); and Constitutional Framings of the Right to Abortion: A Global View, International Journal of Constitutional Law, vol. 21, no. 2 (2023).
