Bongiwe Matsoha is a Climate Governance and Energy Policy Specialist with a decade of experience translating climate ambition into policy and action. Her grounding in greenhouse-gas accounting through corporate consulting underpinned her work at ICLEI, where she led the Global Covenant of Mayors, strengthening data integrity and disclosure across 200+ governments and representing subnational perspectives at the UNFCCC. At Earthlife Africa, she led a community delegation to the Presidential Climate Commission, ensuring marginalised voices shaped South Africa's just-transition policy. She holds an MPhil in Environmental Management and specialised training in SDG7 and power-sector regulation from the Florence School of Regulation.
