Charles Roger is a Ramón y Cajal Associate Professor at the Institut Barcelona d’Estudis Internacionals. A Canadian, his research focuses on processes of global governance, particularly as related to international organizations, as well as transnational and informal modes of cross-border cooperation. His books include The Origins of Informality: Why the Legal Foundations of Global Governance are Shifting and Why It Matters (OUP 2020) and Transnational Climate Change Governance (with Bulkeley et al., CUP 2014). His research has also been published in a range of academic journals, like International Studies Quarterly, Global Environmental Politics, and Review of International Organizations.
