Biography

Javier González-Morín is a Max Weber Fellow since September 2026. He holds a PhD and MSc in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics, and BSc in Economics from the University of Salamanca.

His primary research interests lie in microeconomic theory, with a focus on contract theory and mechanism design. His work studies how information, incentives, and commitment shape economic behaviour and the design of organisations, institutions, and public policies.

As a Max Weber Fellow, Javier aims to complete the research initiated during his PhD while broadening his research agenda through new collaborations with fellows, faculty, and researchers at the EUI.
