Biography

Jean-Michel Glachant is a Part-time Professor of the Florence School of Regulation and President-elect International Association for Energy Economics (IAEE) 2022. Glachant took his Ph.D. in Economics at La Sorbonne in France.
He worked in the industry and private sector before becoming a professor at La Sorbonne.

He has been advisor of Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport (DG TREN), The Directorate-General for Competition (DG COMP) and Directorate-General for Research at the European Commission and of the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE).

He has been coordinator and scientific advisor of several European research projects.

Jean-Michel has been the founding editor-in-chief of EEEP: 'Economics of Energy and Environmental Policy' (an IAEE journal) and is member of the Board of Editors of ‘Energy Journal’ since 2012.
