Karol Cienkus is a civil servant and career diplomat. After earlier work in the Central Statistical Office, he joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland in 2013. Throughout his career he covered a wide range of eco-nomic issues (EU trade and investment policy, energy security, brexit, trade promotion). From 2022 to 2026 he was posted to the Polish Embassy in London as the Head of Economic Section and recently has joined Asia-Pacific Department of the Polish MfA. Karol holds PhD in Political Sciences from the Warsaw University and MA degree in Finance from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics.
