Biography

Lara Connaughton leads on digital regulation work at ComReg, Ireland's communications regulator, where she advises on national and international cooperation. She has 10 years’ experience in policy analysis and stakeholder management, including roles at the European Court of Auditors (ECA) in Luxembourg, in investor relations at Blackstone in London and in management consulting at Accenture in Dublin. Lara holds a master’s degree in Global Affairs from Tsinghua University, Beijing where she studied international relations, public policy, global economics and leadership as a Schwarzman scholar. Lara is a Gaeilgeoir and has a background in theatre, with a Diploma in Speech and Drama.
