Liron C. Danieli is a Visiting Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies at the European University Institute. Her research focuses on public policy design and regulation, with a particular interest in the behavioural and institutional factors that shape the policy design process and regulatory decision-making. She examines how understanding these processes can improve policy design and contribute to more effective, evidence-based regulation, particularly under conditions of uncertainty.Prior to joining the EUI, Danieli served as Deputy General Counsel and Director of Supervision, Legal Proceedings and Behavioral Insights at the Israel Securities Authority. She led regulatory policy design and evaluation, including work on regulatory impact assessment (RIA), and established a behavioural science initiative to integrate behavioural insights into regulatory practice. Her experience spans financial markets regulation, supervision, enforcement, and institutional reform. She has also represented the Israel Securities Authority in the OECD Behavioral Research in Action International Network (BRAIN).Danieli holds a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, an MBA from Tel Aviv University, and a bachelor's degree in law and psychology from Tel Aviv University. At Harvard, she conducted research at the Women and Public Policy Program on institutional dynamics and psychological safety. She is currently pursuing pre-doctoral research in public policy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a PhD at the Faculty of Law at Bar-Ilan University.
