Biography

Luís Gonçalves is a political and economic adviser with extensive experience in EU governance, budgetary policy, and international affairs. He currently advises a Member of the European Parliament on EU economic governance, monetary policy, budget, financial literacy and external action and development financing. Previously, he served as adviser to the Portuguese State Secretariat for European Affairs, contributing to the EU Presidency and negotiations on the MFF, Cohesion Policy, and NextGenerationEU. A former business and economic journalist covering national and EU affairs, Luís is fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, with working knowledge of French.
