Biography

Miguel Martín de las Pueblas is a PhD candidate at the School of Communication of the University of Navarra, Spain. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Applied Research in Communication, both awarded by Carlos III University of Madrid.

His doctoral research examines journalists’ perceptions of freedom of expression within the Spanish media system, with particular emphasis on digital-native media. His research interests include self-censorship in journalism, editorial pressures, and their impact on journalistic practice. His academic work is situated at the intersection of law, communication, and media studies, which he is further developing during his research period at the Florence STG.
