Biography

Monika is Professor at the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences and a part-time Professor at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, where she co-founded and now co-leads the EU Security Initiative (EUSI). She is also an Adjunct Faculty member at the Hertie School in Berlin. Her research lies at the intersection of international relations and political science, focusing on European security architecture and the interplay between supranational and national institutions in shaping European foreign and security policy.

She has published widely in leading academic journals, including International Affairs, West European Politics, the Journal of Common Market Studies, and the Journal of European Integration. Beyond academia, Monika is a regular commentator on European and international affairs for international media.
