Biography

Pier Paolo Raimondi is a Research Fellow working with the Climate Team at the Florence School of Transnational Governance.

His main research topics are energy, climate and industrial policy, as well as the global implications of decarbonisation. Among several publications, he is the co-author of a book on the energy sector and energy geopolitics in the MENA region published by Springer in 2023.

Prior to joining the Florence School of Transnational Governance, he has been a Research Fellow in the 'Energy, climate and resources' programme at Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) in Rome from 2021 to 2026 and collaborated with Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) in Milan from 2018 to late 2021.

He holds a PhD from the 'Institutions and Policies' Doctoral School of the Universita’ Cattolica del Sacro Cuore of Milan. Pier Paolo holds a Master in International Relations and a Bachelor degree in Political Science from the University of Milan.
