She recently managed the Technology Lab and previously also oversaw the Data Lab within the continent’s largest civic technology and investigative data journalism network, overseeing work on AI, civic tech, women’s digital rights, and media research. Sarah has managed an educational technology centre run by Nigeria's current Minister of Digital Innovation and Technology and served for 5+ years as an information and communication technology officer in Nigeria's federal tax administrative body. As a Policy Leader Fellow at the European University Institute's School of Transnational Governance, Sarah will focus on policy recommendations to strengthen and sustain the start-up ecosystem in African Union member states by examining regional and continental funding patterns and identifying existing gaps and opportunities for policy to strengthen the role of African tech.
