Biography

Tahira Saleem is an accomplished mid-career civil servant from Pakistan with diverse experience in trade, labor diplomacy, and migration governance. She holds the distinction of serving as Pakistan’s first female Labor Diplomat at the Embassy of Pakistan in Bahrain, where she championed the welfare and rights of Pakistani migrant workers. Currently serving as Deputy Secretary in the Establishment Division, Pakistan, she oversees matters concerning the discipline and conduct of civil servants. With a strong commitment to institutional reform and effective governance, Tahira seeks to strengthen governance in Pakistan’s public sector and contribute to more responsive and citizen-centred public service delivery.
