Valerie is an international trade lawyer and Senior Associate at Baker McKenzie, specializing in economic sanctions, export controls, foreign investment controls and supply chain sustainability. With around five years of experience, she advises global businesses, with a focus on advanced technologies and complex supply chains, on navigating evolving regulatory and geopolitical risks. Her interests include Europe’s strategic autonomy at the intersection of technology, economic security and geopolitics. Valerie is a German-qualified attorney and holds a Maîtrise en droit in International and European Law from the University of Bordeaux. She is fluent in German, English, French, Italian and Spanish.
