Biography

Vasileios Rovilos is EU Policy Director at Credo AI, where he leads EU regulatory strategy and implementation of the AI Act and adjacent digital legislation. He previously worked at the Future of Privacy Forum, Microsoft and the European Commission (DG GROW and DG JUST). He is a designated expert member of the European Commission's AI Advisory Forum and UNESCO's AI Ethics Experts Without Borders Group. Moreover, he is a Globethics Emerging Leaders in Ethical AI Governance Fellow and GLOBSEC Young Leader. A PhD candidate at the University of Athens, he holds degrees from Maastricht University, Leiden Law School and the College of Europe, with executive education at Stanford and Oxford.
