Building on our quantitative dataset analysis of European policy briefs, this funding request supports elite interviews in Brussels with policymakers, funders, and researchers across EU institutions and think tanks. These interviews will reveal stakeholder expectations and experiences with policy briefs, enabling us to identify gaps between policy brief design and user needs. The article will be submitted to the Evidence Policy journal, advancing theoretical understanding of knowledge translation while offering practical guidance for improving research communication to policy audiences.
