Berlin

Berlin counts more than 60 alumni and is therefore the city in Germany with most alumni, followed by Frankfurt. In an effort to set-up a basis for more continuous alumni activities in Germany’s capital, an official Alumni Association branch in Berlin will be set up in June 2012. This new initiative will be launched on the occasion of the Alumni Meeting in Berlin which will take place from 29 to 30 June 2012.

Alumni Meeting Berlin, June 2007

The Executive Committee met in Berlin with fellow 'Berliner' alumni and others coming from Brussels, Düsseldorf, Florence and London. They visited the Technische Universität Berlin, the Ecologic Institute for International and European Environmental Policy, the Hertie School of Governance and the Freie Universität Berlin, where Tanja Börzel hosted a roundtable discussion on current European issues.

A summer outdoor dinner at Café Einstein brought together other alumni. See below the photo of some of the participants at the Berlin Alumni Weekend with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in the far background, just back to Berlin from the G8 Summit in Heiligendamm.
