Description

This Training Seminar is aimed at researchers in the 3rd year and above. It offers them an opportunity to discuss each other’s work in progress, usually a portion of a chapter or article. The seminar also allows researchers to learn and practice crafting supportive feedback on topics not necessarily in their own fields, a highly useful career skill. We will begin with an introductory session that discusses general questions around writing a chapter or article and about commenting and sharing feedback. Each following session consists of one or two presentations in which participants will discuss each other’s papers, which will have been circulated in advance. Participants are expected to read and provide constructive feedback on all their colleague’s drafts.
