Description
The seminar aims to provide all first-year researchers with an overview of approaches to legal research and introduce them to the main ‘elements’ of research.
The seminar combines interactive lectures by one or two professors of the Law Department with discussions and workshops in the afternoon facilitated by senior researchers.
Professors prepare an interactive lecture (around 1 hour) about a selected approach to law that they apply along with a short selection of readings or relevant literature (see schedule).
The Monday panel session is a general discussion without prior readings or general readings on the PhD process.
The afternoon sessions address the role of theory in legal research, research design, and the importance of analysis.
First, Second & Third Term: registration from 19 to 26 September.
