The Economics Department of the EUI is launching a new M.A. in European Economics, with researcher applications now being accepted for the 2012/13 academic year.

The one-year degree will include intensive coursework in Economics, combined with field courses with European content.  Professor Russell Cooper, who is coordinating the initiative, explains that the programme should be attractive not only to young researchers seeking a stepping stone to the job market or a Ph.D. programme, but also to career professionals who wish to deepen their knowledge of the European context and issues in European Economics.  One important goal of the new masters degree programme is to extend the opportunity to study at the EUI to people beyond Europe’s borders, increasing the global character of the Institute’s researcher population.

Complete information on the degree is available online on the Economics Department’s webpages, and the deadline for applications is 15 June 2012.
