On Tuesday 20 March 2012 at 17:00, in the Theatre of the Badia Fiesolana, EUI Alumnus Matthieu Lietaert presents and screens his movie “The Brussels Business” about lobbying in Brussels.
Matthieu completed his Ph.D. about lobbying in Brussels in 2009 and co-directed this “docu-thriller” about his work for three European broadcasters (ARTE/ZDF, RTBF, ORF). The film is currently in the Austrian cinemas and it will be followed by an international online project in autumn 2012.
Before showing the movie, the event will start with a 30 minutes introduction: the Director’s story "from researcher to filmmaker" and, his book "Webdocs - a survival guide for online filmmakers", including reflections on the use of social media to increase the visibility of researchers and to build their "outreach strategy". 700 copies of the book were sold in just 4 months, only using free tools available online.
A Q&A session is foreseen after the movie.
To register to this event please email Judith Przyrowski from the Academic Service.
