Biography

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), in 2003. My fields of specialization are: microeconomic theory, the economics of innovation, and asymmetric information.
The heart of my research agenda is a theoretical investigation into the economics of innovation and property rights, broadly defined. My goal is to examine, from a micro-theoretical point of view, how the process of creative activity (innovation) is structured, the role of the market forces in shaping that process and the deviation of the actual process from the efficient one.
I am also currently interested in the economics of asymmetric information and mechanism design.
