Biography

I am Professor of Political Science at the University of Nottingham, School of Politics and International Relations. I teach in the areas of comparative politics, comparative public administration, public policy and political science methodology. Previously I was Associate Professor of European Politics at the University of Nottingham, I was Tutorial Fellow in Comparative Public Administration and Public Policy at the London School of Economics and Lecturer in European Politics at Birkbeck College, London.
I studied Political Science and Economics at the University of Hamburg and took both my MSc in European Politics and Policy and my PhD at the LSE.
I teach in the areas of comparative politics, comparative public administration, public policy and political science methodology.
My research concentrates on executive politics and governance in Europe.
Currently, I manage a research project on civil service professionalization in the Western Balkans.
