Biography

Anne Rasmussen earned her Ph.D. degree in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen and has an M.A. in Political Economy from the University of Essex. In addition, she was a Visiting Scholar at George Washington University and a Centennial Fellow at the American Political Science Association in Washington, D.C. She has also worked for the European Commission, the Danish Ministry of Finance and RAMBOLL Management.
Her current research analyzes intra- and inter-institutional relations in the European Union. She also examines how the European Union affects interest group behavior, national parties and national administration in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Denmark. Furthermore, she has a strong interest in research design and methodology as well as in the US political system. In her Ph.D. dissertation, Anne examined delegation to conference committees in the legislative processes of the EU and the US.
Anne Rasmussen’s work appears in several journals, including European Union Politics, West European Politics and European Integration Online Papers. She has taught courses on EU institutions and policy-making, the economics of the European Union, comparative politics and parliamentary studies. She is a co-convenor of the European Legislative Politics Research Group (ELPRG, www.elprg.eu) and has previously received research grants from organizations such as the European Commission, the European Consortium for Political Research, the British Council and the Danish Research Council.
