Biography

My current research is focused on the question or even dilemma, especially for women, on how to find a balance between professional and family life. These considerations are the focus of changes in labor law and national social policies which include equal responsibility between men and women in the household. This is also one of the most important challenges for Nations nowadays, and also for non-state employees who play the main role in the workplace, to achieve the conditions in the society in which being a good parent and good employee are not in conflict. In a large perspective this is part of the debate about human resources in Europe.
In my doctoral dissertation I analyzed relations between professional and family life from the sociological point of view. During my Max Weber Fellowship I am going to examine legal regulation, mechanisms and institutions which play important roles in improving equality between gender in the workplace and household, to find solutions to combine family and professional life more effectively.
I expect to receive my Ph.D. in Sociology from The Institute of Applied Social Sciences at Warsaw University in 2008. My education includes a legal background, I earned my Master degree in Law and Administration Faculty, Warsaw University. I also finished postgraduate studies in Business Communication and Public Relations at Warsaw School of Economics.
During my Ph.D. studies I was teaching Family Law, with elements of national and European social policy. My work experience include governmental institutions, non-governmental organizations, and international companies.
