She received her PhD at the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) of the Johns Hopkins University in May 2009 and was a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute (EUI) in 2009-2010. Her research focuses on inter national political economy, as well as on the comparative politics of financial markets and their regulation in advanced industrial democracies.
