He was spokesman for youth delegations during meetings with politicians (Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, President of the Italian Republic from 1999 to 2006; Romano Prodi, former Prime Minister of Italy and President of the European Commission from 1999 to 2004; Jacques Delors, President of the European Commission from 1985 to 1995), and in acknowledgment of his efforts he was appointed "European citizen of the year" in 2000. He participated in numerous youth conventions, he was a speaker at conferences and seminars. In 2006 he represented JEF-Italia during the visit of President Napolitano to Ventotene, on the occasion of the commemoration of the twentieth anniversary of Altiero Spinelli's death.
