Conference: "Le Donne del Parlamento Europeo" (Women in the European Parliament)

Posted on 19 February 2019

The degree of participation of women in the public sphere is one of the main indicators of how solid a democracy is. The upcoming International Women's day and European Elections 2019 offer the opportunity to reflect on the achievements of women active in European Institutions and on their short and long- term perspectives. The conference, jointly organized by the Historical Archives of the European Union and Villa Finaly- Universités de Paris, will host female academics, politicians and women's rights activists to focus on the role of some prominent women over the last 40 years of the directly elected European Parliament, from its first President Simone Veil to the upcoming electoral campaign and legislative period. It will be hosted at Villa Finaly and will be held in Italian. For more information and to register click here.
