Archives of the Europa-Union Baden-Württemberg deposited in Florence

Posted on 03 September 2019

On August the 29th, the regional executive of the federalist umbrella association Europa-Union Baden-Württemberg (EUBH), Bettina Kümmerle and the representative of the Europa-Union Heilbronn (EUHN), Heinrich Kümmerle, met director Dieter Schlenker and senior archivist Ruth Meyer. Following the decision to deposit the EUBH and EUHN archives in Florence in 2018, they were introduced to the history and facilities of the Historical Archives of the European Union and deposited their archival fonds, consisting of 280 files, which have been transported from Stuttgart/Heilbronn to Florence. These materials will considerably enrich the already existing federalist archives deposited in Florence, which comprise the Union of European Federalists (UEF) and the European Movement, as well as other pro-European associations and organisations.
