Financial Operations Unit

The unit supports all administrative and academic units in implementing the budget and within the limits of its remit, it manages the funds of the Institute’s ordinary budget as well as those deriving from external sources, overall 96% of the EUI budget is managed directly by it.

The unit is also responsible for calculating and paying the salaries, pensions and other financial entitlements of all EUI contract holders.

The fundraising activities are supported by a consolidated team which in collaborates with project managers and teaching staff in the Departments, Centre, Programme and School as well as in other administrative units are specialised in preparing requests for funding for research projects.
