With the start of the new 2016/2017 academic year, the ICT Service will be able to offer enhanced printing services to EUI users.
Under the management of Ricoh, winner of the latest call for tender, all the current multifunction machines will be replaced with newer models during the August closure. To ensure fallback in case of any (unlikely) problems, the old devices will still be present alongside the new ones for a couple of weeks.
Some of the improved features available with the new multifunctions include:
- colour printing from all machines
- OCR functionality from all of them
- A3 printing from most of them
- printing from mobile devices
- printing for guests all over the EUI campus
Further news, including details about training, will be forthcoming after the break, when the services go live.
