Master Class in Landscape Research

UNISCAPE, European Network of Universities for the implementation of the European Landscape Convention is organizing a Master Class in Landscape research to be held at the European University Institute.

The meeting. lasting three days,  will discuss and deepen the major results of the International Scientific Conference Living Landscape - The European Landscape Convention in research perspective on the following themes: landscape identification and typology, participation, perception, and effects of policy development on landscape, with reference to the European Landscape Convention and in particular to urban, rural and periurban landscapes.

The program includes 13 hours of lectures and an 8 hour field excursion in the Chianti area. The panel of invited lecturers offers a wide range of methodologies and experiences in the field of landscape research.  Professor Mauro Agnoletti (University of Florence, Department of Environmental Science and Technology) is the scientific coordinator of the Master Class. The Master Class is addressed to PhD students, researchers and students interested in landscape and is limited to max. 20 students.
