Heating systems at the EUI

Posted on 28 October 2019

Heating Systems across the Campus have already been tested and are ready for switch on: in compliance with existing relevant municipal rules & regulations and with energy saving targets entailed by the EUI environmental strategy, and in light of the upcoming EUI closure for All Saints, heating units will be operational in all EUI buildings as of  Monday 4 November (Tuesday 29 October at the EUI flats) for a maximum of 6 hours a day

However, should there be a significant drop in temperature in the next days before the closure, the REFS will carefully monitor the response of EUI buildings and eventually intervene by switching on heating units for a limited time range (i.e. early morning / late afternoon).

We remind you of your responsibility to properly manage your work environment and to take the necessary steps to avoid wasting energy, such as closing windows and shutters of offices and common areas when heating units are switched on.

Further information on the EUI Heating and Cooling Policy is available here.

Should you have problems with heating units in your office, please open a ticket on helpdesk.eui.eu.
