Classes are from Monday to Friday. Most classes are scheduled between 10.00 to 16.00 CEST (Central European Summer Time).

On the last day of each course, there are no classes taking place. The optional Diploma examination is scheduled on Friday morning. 

You are expected to attend all classes. Please note that this summer course will be held only in person.

In addition, there are optional sessions and networking and social events that you can choose to attend. 

Before the course starts, we will send you a link to access the course materials. 
Access to the EUI library will be granted two weeks before the starting date of the course.

There is an examination on the last day of the course. You can choose to take this examination but it is not mandatory. About 25% of  participants choose to take the examination.

The Diploma of the Academy of European Law is awarded to participants who submit an excellent examination paper. Each year, the Diploma is awarded to 1-2  participants on each course. More information about the Diploma here.

A certificate of attendance is given at the end of the course to those participants who have attended all the classes.
In case of absence, please inform the Academy in advance.

The EUI does not operate the ECTS system. Upon request, we can issue a certificate specifying the number of hours of the course you have attended. Some of our past participants have used this certification to obtain credits from their home universities.
