EUI Climate Week - 2024 Edition

21 - 24 May 2024

EUI Climate Week 2024 focuses on key implementation issues related to the EU Green Deal in the context of a fundamentally changed geopolitical situation. A significant amount of investment is required in renewable energy, energy efficiency, storage, grid infrastructure, and clean technology. Huge amounts of public and private finance need to be mobilised. The EU ETS has been consolidated and extended but important implementation issues remain. While more countries launch compliance carbon markets, the issue of carbon credits remains the subject of intense discussion. These are important issues to be dealt with during the new EU policy cycle 2024-2029.

EUI Climate Week 2024 takes place in the framework of the EUI’s State of the Union Conference and includes sessions co-organised with the European Investment Bank and the European Commission, includingthe Florence Process. The format allows sufficient time for stimulating discussions between all participants.
