The EUSI Security Research Network is a cross-institute platform that aims to map, coordinate, and communicate EUI research on security and defence. It connects EUI-affiliated academics across departments and disciplines to promote an interdisciplinary dialogue on European security and defence through events, seminars and publications.
The findings and expertise of EUSI security researchers will be widely disseminated to the public through the upcoming EUSI paper series.
EUI scholars and alumni interested in becoming part of the EUSI Security Research Network or contributing to the EUSI policy briefs series are invited to make themselves known by emailing eusi[at]eui.eu .
Eligibility and expression of interest
The EUSI Security Research Network welcomes expressions of interest from the following profiles:
EUI Scholars
Current EUI scholars, researchers, fellows, and academic staff with expertise or a strong professional interest in security, defence, foreign policy, European affairs, or related fields are invited to join the Network.
Interested EUI scholars are invited to submit their expression of interest by emailing eusi@eui.eu, including:
- A short motivation explaining their interest in joining the Network and how they would like to contribute.
- A short professional profile, including their current position, department, contact details, and relevant areas of expertise.
- References to relevant research projects, publications, initiatives, policy work, or professional activities that align with the objectives of the EUSI Security Research Network and/or the EUSI Policy Briefs series.
EUI Alumni
EUI alumni with expertise or professional experience relevant to security, defence, foreign policy, European affairs, or related fields are invited to join the Network and contribute to its activities.
Interested alumni are invited to submit their expression of interest by emailing eusi@eui.eu, with alumni@eui.eu in copy, including:
- A short motivation explaining their interest in joining the Network and the ways in which they would like to contribute.
- A short professional profile, including their current position, institutional affiliation, contact details, and relevant areas of expertise.
- References to relevant initiatives, research, publications, policy contributions, or professional activities that demonstrate their expertise and alignment with the objectives of the EUSI Security Research Network and/or the EUSI Policy Briefs series.
Members of the Network may be invited to contribute to EUSI policy briefs, participate in expert discussions and events, collaborate on research initiatives, and engage with a multidisciplinary community of EUI scholars and alumni working on European and global security challenges.
