Tariro Bure – Creating Alternative Decision-Making Platforms for Africa Youth

Fees Must Fall Movement, which took place in South Africa exemplifies youth agency and movement building. The talk will look at the policy context, implications and residual impact of a movement which aimed to transform SA's tertiary education sector and also reclaim promises made in the post-apartheid era.

Kesaobaka Pharatlhatlhe – Focusing on Regional Economic Communities

The talk will focus on why tackling youth unemployment in Africa through Regional Economic Communities (REC’s) could work by focusing on 3 REC’s (ECOWAS, EAC and SADC).
