Join the Political Economy and International Relations Working Groups as they discuss the G20 Summit with Dr. Agostino Inguscio and Tommaso Murè

On October 30–31 2021, leaders from the G20 member states will be meeting in Rome to discuss a wide range of topics, from global minimum tax rates on multinational companies and climate change, to the post-COVID economic recovery and the Afghan Crisis. The official G20 Summit in Rome will in reality cap a year of engagement among G20 members under the Italian Presidency. Italy was tasked to organize and host a wide array of online and in-person meetings, ranging from thematic ministerial summits to civil society dialogues. The Political Economy Working Group and the International Relations Working Group invite you to meet members of the Italian Delegation in the week prior to the Leaders’ Summit to reflect on the Italian experience of the G20 Presidency, the increasing role of G-Summitry in Global Governance, as well as their ability to deliver on issues such a climate change, macroeconomic coordination and cooperation over minimal taxation rates.

Dr. Agostino Inguscio, a Senior Advisor on Climate Change with the G7/G20 Office of the Italian Presidency of Council of Ministers will be discussing these topics together with members of both working groups. He will be joined by Tommaso Murè, Policy Lead for the Employment, Education, Youth Empowerment and Gender Equality dossiers.

This seminar will take place in person. Please register as places are limited and are available on the first-come, first serve basis.
