Join Policy Leader Fellows to discuss environmental governance and policy reform.

In this talk, Policy Leader Fellows will make the case for the need for a more integrated and interdisciplinary approach to policy reforms and implementation. From analysing the effectiveness of the plastic ban in Kenya to covering the implications of the West African transhumance and related land-use policies on the ongoing conflicts in Nigeria - the fellows will break down specific regional examples to examine different policy options and actions. In addition, the role of forest management in overall human health and well-being will be discussed as a relevant transnational issue that requires the attention of the global community.

The event will be moderated by Fonvinyuh Gordian Fanso, International consultant on Forest governance (Forest certification and VPA FLEGT to combat illegal trade on Forest products).

Panelists:

  • Emma Gibbs (Policy Leader Fellow)
  • Kashimana Ivo (Policy Leader Fellow)
  • Caroline Kibii (Policy Leader Fellow)
