The Human and Fundamental Rights Working Group invites you to its next general meeting.

During the meeting, there will be a presentation (tbc) about the Ventotene project on the History of Fundamental Rights in Europe 1789-2021, a project run by the Italian State and to which the EUI has agreed to contribute. The idea is to inform EUI researchers about the project with a view to eventually forming a group of researchers that will provide scientific input to prepare a museum exhibition on key moments in the history of human and fundamental rights in Europe since 1789. The presentation will be given by a member of the team of the special Commissioner who is responsible for the project on behalf of the Italian State. A Q&A session regarding the project will also take place.

Additionally, the meeting will discuss upcoming events and activities of the Working Group, as well as other matters of interest. A usual tour-de-table of current matters in the field of human and fundamental rights will take place. Participants are encouraged to pick and briefly present (2–3 min) an issue of interest for discussion. This can be an interesting case, article, piece of news, a challenging rights-related problem which you are currently engaged in, or its solution! The agenda of the meeting will follow soon.

The meeting will be held on Zoom. Please register for the meeting by following the link above.
