We welcome George Yeo, Visiting Scholar at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore, former Member of the Cabinet of Singapore, and current member of the EUI School of Transnational Governance’s External Advisory Board, to share his views on China in Europe’s future and Europe in China’s future.
Drawing from his wealth of experience in academia, business and government service, Mr Yeo will discuss his perspectives on the state and future of Euro-Asian relations by examining anti-China sentiment, the relationship between the US and China, the impact of the war in Ukraine, and what the future holds in a multipolar world for Europe, the US and China.
Mr Yeo’s lecture will also serve as an occasion to inaugurate the new courtroom at Palazzo Buontalenti.

George Yeo is Visiting Scholar at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. From 1988 to 2011, he served 23 years in Government, as Minister for Information and the Arts, Health, Trade & Industry, and Foreign Affairs. He has also holds several positions on advisory and oversight boards of academic as well as business institutions and organisations.
