REDemocracIA | AI, data protection and regional integration

To kick off the academic year, the Iberoamerican Network for Democracy and AI (REDemocracIA), together with the Center for the Promotion of the Rule of Law of the MERCOSUR Permanent Review Tribunal, organised a new online event to discuss AI, data protection and regional integration processes.

This event aims to address data protection in a context characterized by an exponential increase in the use of Artificial Intelligence in the automation of data processing, with its consequent benefits and risks. The discussion will be approached from the perspective of integration processes, i.e., we will try to analyze the issue from the regulations created or to be created in regional blocs, especially the EU and MERCOSUR.
