The EUI Library and EMIF invite the EUI community to a dedicated workshop that dives into the theory and practice of data visualization.

This workshop is organised in the context of the 2024 International Love Data Week at the EUI.

Data visualization refers to the communication of data and information through visual representations, such as charts, tables, diagrams, plots, maps etc. Translating vast amounts of information into a visual context makes it easier to process, absorb, and identify patterns, trends or outliers. In a world that is flooded with data, we are constantly presented with charts and infographics on social media or traditional media outlets. Having a trained and critical eye on this topic, allows us to quickly identify the key insights but also potential misleading traits. This session will cover the main theories behind the creation of effective visualisations, while emphasizing the dos and don’ts with practical examples.

The session is provided by Visualitics representatives, Italian experts in the Tableau Data Visualization tool.

Please note that the event is Hybrid: if you are considering attending online please register and you will receive the details to connect via Zoom.
