The STG Talks serve as a space for discussion for the STG community and beyond. Led by the STG Fellows, the talks are a place for informal learning and exchange on global issues affecting different areas of policymaking.

This talk will delve into the issue of the complex relationship between disinformation and rapidly evolving technology. In an age where information is readily accessible at our fingertips, the dark side of technology emerges as disinformation spreads like wildfire, blurring the lines between fact and fiction.

This conversation will explore the intricate relationship between technology and misinformation, examining how the digital landscape and its economics have become fertile ground for manipulation and deceit. It will discuss the blind spots of the disinformation fight with regards to technology and various approaches to tackling this, deriving from original field studies and experiments.
