The Constitutional Law and Politics Working Group and the Human and Fundamental Rights Working Group invite you to a workshop featuring journalist Maximilian Steinbeis from Verfassungsblog.

About the author:

Maximilian Steinbeis is a legal journalist, writer, and the founder and director of Verfassungsblog. Since its foundation in 2009, Verfassungsblog has become a key platform for discourses on public, European, and international law, with 2.6 million visits to the site in 2024 alone. It allows academics and practitioners to engage with developments all around the world as they are unfolding. Beyond his own activities on the blog, Dr Steinbeis has recently published a book on populism and constitutionalism in Germany.

About the workshop:

Open to all interested fellows, PhD researchers, professors and visiting academics, Dr Steinbeis will lead a workshop on how to write for Verfassungsblog. He will discuss what the aims of blog posts should be, how to engagingly write for an audience beyond one’s own epistemic community, and share concrete advice from his extensive editorial experience.

In the afternoon, a panel discussion will follow.
