The EUI and the ENS-PSL have signed a five-year partnership to collaborate in the fields of higher education and research. The agreement seeks to offer new opportunities targeted to the academic community in the areas of research, training, international mobility, and education.

The multi-layered agreement envisions the promotion of mutually beneficial exchange programmes for researchers at the doctoral and post-doctoral levels, as well as the organisation of sabbaticals, visiting professorships, visiting fellowships, and staff visits. Moreover, the agreement will create teaching opportunities for EUI doctoral candidates and explore the possibility of establishing a mobility scheme for master students from both institutions.

The agreement also encompasses the organisation of collaborative activities aiming to produce and share scientific knowledge between EUI and ENS members. Together, the two institutions will promote joint workshops, conferences, and collaborative projects, as well as executive education trainings and summer schools.

Through this ambitious cooperation plan, the partnership sets a milestone between two leading educational institutions in the fields of social sciences and humanities, strengthening the EUI’s cooperation with academic institutions in France and across EUI Member States.

The École Normale Supérieure-PSL (ENS-PSL), founded in 1794, is a higher education and research institution based in Paris. The ENS-PSL provides excellent training through research, leading to various teaching and research professions, and contributes to training the senior executives of public administrations as well as of French and European companies.

Any further information on this partnership may be obtained from the EUI External Relations office.
