This year, the EUI's Academy of European Law (AEL) has awarded diplomas to two participants of the 2022 summer courses on 'Human Rights Law' and 'The Law of the European Union.'

The AEL is pleased to present the diploma in Human Rights Law to Irina Muñoz Ibarra, PhD researcher at the EUI Department of Law, and the diploma in The Law of the European Union to Pranav Ganesan, PhD researcher at the University of Zurich (UZH) and Research Assistant at the Climate Rights and Remedies Project (CRRP), UZH.

Each year, the AEL organises two summer courses, offering a stimulating learning experience to researchers and law practitioners. The 2022 courses in 'Human Rights Law' and 'The Law of the European Union' were held in hybrid format, with the main themes covering race and transitional justice and EU environmental governance respectively.

Although largely based on the subjects covered in the course, the diploma exam requires an advanced knowledge of the field and only those participants who demonstrate the highest competence in the subject matter are awarded the diploma. The Academy congratulates Irina Muñoz Ibarra and Pranav Ganesan for their excellent exam performance.

Next year, the two Academy summer courses will take place from 19 to 30 June 2023 and the application process will open in early February 2023.
