Biography

Christian Goeschel is am Reader in Modern European History at the University of Manchester. He is the author of Suicide in Nazi Germany (Oxford University Press, 2009) and Mussolini and Hitler: The Forging of the Fascist Alliance (Yale University Press, 2018).

At present, he is working on a new book on the sensory history of Germany with the working title Leap in the Dark: Experiencing the Nazi Takeover of Power, July 1932—July 1933.
